Nancy Storment spent decades in the classroom, teaching everyone from fourth graders to high school seniors. But she never stopped being a student herself. Every child who walked through her door taught her something new about patience, resilience, and the quiet power of showing up day after day.
That same spirit lives in her writing.
Today, Nancy still teaches. But now her classroom is her church, where she leads an adult Sunday School class, works with the mission program, and steps in to lead services when needed. She will tell you that following the Lord’s calling is the only way to live. And using the gifts He has given you, she says, will bring overwhelming joy and peace.
She knows this because she has lived it.
Nancy considers herself blessed in every area of her life. Especially her family. She and her husband Thomas have two grown daughters, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Between her faith, her own family, and her church family, she knows she is rich in all that matters.
When she is not writing, you will find her curled up with a good book, tending her garden (though she jokes her green thumb is fading), or watching a good program on television. But writing remains one of her greatest joys. “Where else,” she asks, “can you experience your own entertaining program as it plays out in your mind? And you decide the ending.”
Nancy hopes that all who read her writings will find the Lord’s presence in the pages. She does not write to impress. She writes to share the hope that has carried her through every season of life. Her stories are born from a deep faith, a love for history, and a belief that even in the darkest moments, God is still writing a beautiful story.
In Just One Day is her gift to you.
